Housing Options

A word about undergraduate housing: you might want to consider the Visual and Performing Arts Living & Learning Program housed in Baker Hall West. The west wing of Baker Hall, a five-minute walk from the School of Music, is reserved for OSU students who are majoring in—or very active in—the visual and performing arts. Baker West has practice rooms, a 100-seat auditorium, and is filled with students who share your interests. A very high percentage of students choose to return to Baker West year after year, and this means that it is getting a bit more competitive to get in. Once you have paid your university acceptance fee (or by late April, if you paid early), you should receive housing information from OSU; housing in Baker West is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so it would be wise to send in your request for Baker West early.
