Mock Audition Day

Each autumn, the School of Music hosts a Mock Audition Day for high school seniors and their parents. Students may choose to sit in on a class, rehearsal, or special workshops on admissions. Students may also choose to take a mock audition. This is an excellent opportunity to interact with the studio professor and garner tips on the audition process. Students may tour all of the facilities, including the performance spaces, classrooms, rehearsal rooms and computer lab.

Workshop topics include:

• How to prepare for college theory
• Financial aid overview
• Pursuing a double major
• Tips on auditioning and playing in public
• Military performance options
• About the OSU marching band
